The company designs a strategic outsourcing solution based on the specific requirements and growth aspirations of many of the most successful OEMs and machine builders worldwide, through a combination of extensive engineering and production capabilities.
The approach to manufacturing starts with understanding the ‘business pain’ that may be causing barriers to growth. This can be anything from access to skilled people and space, to increased production lead times and, in today’s marketplace, supply chain disruptions. PP C&A alleviate these pains by building relationships, strategies and manufacturing solutions that break down the challenges and unlock the client’s potential.
Solutions could be module or assembly based, part or full machine build – whichever provides the optimum benefit. And these solutions are designed around production capabilities in electrical control and automation, electronics assembly and box build, pneumatics and hydraulics, mechanical design and assembly, vacuum and gas management systems along with cable harnesses.
PP Control & Automation was established in 1967 and has evolved into an award-winning provider of strategic outsourcing solutions and one of the largest of its kind in Europe. Its facility comprises over 5,500m², with close to £1.5m invested in the latest automation for cable preparation and automated test, world first crimping technology, and an Electrostatic Discharge facility.
This kind of facility investment enables the business to offer unparalleled levels of quality for electrical inter-connectivity, electrical control, automation and assembly, and the associated disciplines for the provision of a fully outsourced solution.
In addition to ISO:9001 and ISO:14001 – PPC&A is fully approved to cUL508a for the design and certification of electrical control solutions for the North American markets.
The company also recognises that exceptional service needs exceptional people and collaborates with employees to develop a culture of engagement and creativity, where new ideas are fostered, and existing processes can be positively challenged.
An in-house training school was founded at the start of the millennium and the company has invested a significant amount of time developing its training processes, both in the technical requirements and the tools and systems required for continuous improvement.
This dedication and investment is part of the reason customers continue to work with and trust the service, the strategies, and the engineering and production capabilities of PP C&A.
